Plié down by bending your legs while thinking about keeping your torso lifted straight and high.
Once you have reached the bottom of the Plié (don’t allow your butt to dip below your knees), straighten your legs up by squeezing your butt.
As you push to standing, press from your heels and squeeze your glutes (butt muscles).
Keep your spine straight and abs in.
Hold your chest out and shoulders back.
These are deep, slow Pliés.
Do 16 slow and controlled repetitions.
BABY PLIÉ
Repeat the same body position and action as the Grand Plié, but this time, press down into the Plié and only come halfway up.
You will not be fully straightening your legs.
Pick up the tempo and do these at double-time the Grand Pliés.
Do 16 reps.
